Christmas Shopping Ideas

We're going to Wisconsin for Christmas this year, so I've been doing ALL of my shopping on line - a new thing for me. I did everything at Amazon, and got all but a couple of items shipped for free right to my parents' house. Easy as pie! Getting them home again...will be another matter, I'm afraid.

I came across these items on Amazon, and just had to point you their way! This "Guitar Hero" game is all the rage. We don't have it (yet), but everyone I talk to says it's positively addicting. I'm not sure - have you guys played it? The pictures on Amazon make it seem a bit "dark" for our family with small children. Is there a version where the makeup isn't so heavy, the skirts aren't so short, and the shirts cover the belly? When it comes to the innocence of my babies, I'm a prude, this I know. I'd love to hear your input on this product if you have experience with it.

Or, if you're looking to buy one up before they disappear, you can click HERE for Guitar Hero.

This toy, is my little guy's absolute favorite toy right now. Do you have a little one you're shopping for? This "Mozart Magic Cube" has been so popular with all my kids. Let's see...Thomas is 1, and Clara is 5. I'd say it's a good choice for kids in that age range. Click HERE to go get one at Amazon.

And finally...guys you can not go wrong with these if you're looking for a gift for your gal. Had an argument lately? You might want to think about going on the, um, bigger side when it comes to the diamond selection.

(Hubby - yes, pretty please! White gold will do just fine!)

Click here to pick up a pair of these beauties (they're 40% off!!).

Happy shopping, everyone!

Daiquiri,

I saw an advertisement in the Mardel's flyer this weekend for a Christian Praise version of Rock Band/Guitar Hero. You might want to track that one down. We have played both Guitar Hero and Rock Band, and my dh and older boys enjoy it. But I think the Praise version would be right up my alley :)

We have the new Guitar Hero World Tour and love it. The make-up is a little on the crazy side and there are a few girls that could be more covered up but you can choose different rockers. I've got a couple that we usually chose from and from what I can tell, my kids don't pay a whole lot of attention to the rockers, they just love to play. I have also heard of the praise version but we found it for a computer, not the Wii. If you do find it for the Wii please let me know because I would rather have my kids walking around singing praise music over "Livin' on a Prayer" or "the Joker" anyday. :) We love it though and have had tons of fun as a family playing it. Hope that helps a little!

Guitar Hero is a must! We have two children and when the four of us get together for a "jam session' we have soooo much fun!!!
Like someone else mentioned, my kids don't pay attention to the outfits..they do get a kick out of the hair styles!!

We have both Guitar Hero and the complete band for the Wii and it's so worth it!!

If you want to.. knock on the door.. we have both World Tour and GH III is on its way. Its super fun... but I am really bad at it! Mario Kart is just as awesome! Again, just knock on the door if you want to try them out. :)

We have Guitar Praise and love it. The only thing we really don't like about it is that it's a computer game and isn't available for the game systems that are already plugged into the TV. It takes a little extra time to set up and get playing, but it's so worth it. We noticed our little ones singing the songs from Guitar Hero. I was so excited about Guitar Praise that I pre-ordered it. The kids are singing much nicer songs, DH's getting to play more without me shooting him evil looks, and I'm actually playing it from time to time.
